Great News!!!
Hello Daydreamers,
Happy New Year! I am truly grateful for everything. For God guiding me, my family for believing in me, and you reader for supporting me. I'm thankful for 2022 and I'm ready to take on 2023. My new year's resolution is to stay consistent and my motto for the year is "being is enough." It's important to remember that you relaxing and being present is enough.
Here is a little life update: I've been really enjoying my time at Northwestern. I've met some kind people who genuinely care. I made it on the Dean's List during my fall quarter and I'm really proud of myself. I've been prioritizing self-care by working out and looking out on Lake Michigan. I've been making connections and trying to make a lasting impact. I've been listening to music that lifts me up like "Special" by Lizzo and "Hero" by Mariah Carey. I've been writing and reading poetry every day. I am currently reading poems by Dean Atta and I love his writing style. I am determined to share my poetry with the world and inspire others to speak their truth.
I'm really excited to share with you that I am the 2023 Northeast Regional Youth Poet and a finalist to become the National Youth Poet Laureate. I've been walking down memory lane, and I can't help but be thankful for all the experiences I've had. Every person who impacted me along the way and saw something in me that sometimes I couldn't see in myself. I would like to give a special shout-out to Philadelphia for being the City of Brotherly love and Sisterly affection, you really have made a huge difference in my life. Thank you for reading this and I hope you are having a great start to 2023.
